Mr. Martinsen has worked on issues including market design, network regulation, valuation and due diligence, and power market modeling. He has completed a range of market design assignments in the electricity sector, with a particular focus on the reforms required to facilitate the transition to net zero and the design of ancillary service markets. Mr. Martinsen has also conducted detailed regulatory reviews and power market modeling to inform the valuation of assets in due diligence matters.
As a native Norwegian, Mr. Martinsen has a keen interest in network regulation in the Nordic countries and has advised on several due diligence exercises in the region. He also advises utilities on cost assessment, efficiency, financial issues, and the design of regulatory frameworks during price control processes.
