Clara Segurola provides expert testimony on damages, valuation, and economic issues arising in international commercial disputes. Ms. Segurola understands the importance of presenting reliable damages analyses in a clear and compelling way to assist courts and tribunals in their decisions. For more than 15 years, she has worked on matters before main international arbitration venues (i.e., ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, and PCA), the Commercial Court of England and Wales, and Spanish commercial courts. She has worked with clients across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia and is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

Ms. Segurola has worked on investor-state, breach of contract, and post-M&A disputes across a range of industries (e.g., utilities, energy, oil and gas, renewables, transport, infrastructure, financial services, consumer goods, IT services, manufacturing, and distribution). She has testified on economic losses and valuation issues in contractual disputes. Ms. Segurola also has experience advising stakeholders in business valuations, regulated industries, and large infrastructure projects.

Ms. Segurola has been recognized as a Future Leader in Arbitration in the Who’s Who Legal directory as a “well-regarded financial economist and expert witness with a strong track record of valuations and quantifications of damages for clients from across various industry sectors,” and she is described by clients as “an extremely bright, personable and smart individual.”

Before rejoining NERA in 2024, Ms. Segurola worked at a large UK litigation fund, where she advised the Investment Committee on the economic and quantum aspects of potential investments.
