On 18 October, Senior Consultant Zoe Pangalos will speak in a session titled “How to Use Game Theory to Maximize Your Negotiation Outcomes” alongside Westfall Chief Supply Chain Officer David Schultz at SIG’s 2023 Global Executive Summit.
Many companies overpay for their procurement spend because suppliers do not have the right incentives to lower their prices. Traditional negotiation techniques accompanied by recent inflationary trends have prevented buyers from taking advantage of the leverage in their supply base, and prices have remained high, leaving value on the table. The good news is game theory can help. In this session, Ms. Pangalos will explain the fundamentals of game theory and how it can help buyers gain the upper hand in their negotiations and drive savings and other commercial value.
Earlier in the conference, on 16 October, Ms. Pangalos will speak in the “CPO & Executive Roundtable Program” to discuss disruption as the new market reality. The session is hosted by Oliver Wyman. Ms. Pangalos will be joined by Oliver Wyman Partner Alexandre Lefort, Head of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Carlos Garcia Martin, Senior Manager Chris Saliba, and Principal Talon Llyod.
