On 9 May, Senior Managing Director Faten Sabry will participate in the “Litigation Round-Up” panel at the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) New York City Bankruptcy Conference. Dr. Sabry will be joined by the Honorable Judge David Jones, ArentFox Schiff LLP Partner Beth Brownstein, Morrison & Foerster LLP Partner Doug Mannal, and Jenner & Block LLP Special Counsel Carl Wedoff to discuss recent cases that raise bankruptcy and litigation issues including

• Automatic stays (or issue an injunction) to protect debtor-related (but non-debtor) entities from tort or other litigation that could interfere with the plan process;
• Valuation evidence for unusual, complex, and illiquid assets, including mortgage-backed securities, derivatives, and crypto assets; and
• Presenting evidentiary issues, particularly relating to damages, in liability management litigation.

The panel will also feature successful bankruptcy litigation tips.
