NERA, in partnership with Monckton Chambers and Exton Advisors, is proud to host the 6th Annual UK Competition Litigation Conference on 5 December at the ME Hotel.
The event will feature seven key sessions, with a focus on recent cases and decisions, advancements in litigation strategies, dominance in various sectors, and the critical role of expert witnesses. Additional discussions will cover the regulatory landscape, including insights into the Digital Markets Competition and Consumer Act (DMCC) and the Digital Markets Unit. Prominent issues anticipated for 2025, such as mergers and subsidies, will also be examined. The event will conclude with the global outlook and a keynote address by Ian Forrester, a former UK General Court judge and current judge at the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
NERA experts will bring insights from recent high-profile cases and emerging trends in competition litigation. Director Adrien Cervera-Jackson will lead the “Collective Actions in the Courtroom” session, which will highlight significant class actions from 2024, including discussions on certification, novel theories of harm, the Le Patourel v. BT trial, and recent settlement trends. Director Gabriella Monahova will chair the session “The Role of Experts in Competition Cases,” with Senior Managing Director Grant Saggers joining to discuss expert-led processes, "hot tubs" and new empirical methods such as behavioral economics and surveys.
